University of Southampton buzz monitoring
Translated.
Leading educational establishment the University of Southampton were keen to understand what was being said about them online, where the conversation was and how to respond to this conversation in the best way. They wanted to use the findings to become more informed, targeted and reactive in their online strategy.
Created.
We identified that they needed an easy to use, online “one stop shop” that the marketing and communication team can use to monitor, measure and inform marketing campaigns, PR activity and student recruitment.
By tracking activity online the team can identify real gaps and opportunities in their campaigns.
They needed a smart, easy to use solution that we would continue to evolve to meet their needs and provide real intelligence around their online strategy.
Delivered.
We created an online buzz monitoring tool that monitors & collates on one page a snapshot of any “buzz” about the University of Southampton on the net. This bespoke tool captures related activity on forums, blogs, news sites and Social Media sites such as Flickr and YouTube. We also integrated a guide on how to engage in this buzz, the conversation, when and how to respond, and how to spot opportunities in the sea of conversation.
See our ebook – Buzz Monitoring – a guide for Marketers – for more information around monitoring in the sea of online conversation.
