Steve Winton / Developer
I have 10 years experience in software engineering and consulting disciplines, the last 6 of which were spent at Oracle Corporation where I built enterprise-grade, industrial-strength, database-driven, web-enabled applications for some of the biggest names in e-Business! I combine a meticulous, ‘eye-for-detail’ approach with a true passion for the Web and a skill for building robust applications using Open Standards, even if I do say so myself! I enjoy wrapping my head around the latest Web innovations and I’m the type of person who gets really excited about microformats and social web applications like Flickr are an inspiration! I also have a penchant for *nix/the Vim text editor and the like – but please don’t hold that against me! My ‘techie’ skills lie primarily in the following areas: PHP, Java, JEE, ECMAScript, SQL, PL/SQL, XML and (X)HTML. Oh, and I was recently seen in a supporting role on the smash hit Channel 4 quiz show, Deal or No Deal. :)
